The Delhi Lakshmi Yojana aims to provide monthly financial assistance to economically weaker women and help them become financially independent. The Delhi Government has allocated ₹5,110 crore for this scheme in the 2026–27 budget. The scheme was earlier known as the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, and its name has now been changed to Delhi Lakshmi Yojana. According to the notification issued by the Delhi Government’s Department of Women and Child Development on 6 August 2026, the scheme came into effect from 1 August 2026 and will initially remain in operation for three years. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive ₹2,500 per month. The amount will be transferred to beneficiaries through digital means and savings accounts. The scheme focuses on promoting women’s financial independence, decision-making ability, and self-reliance. Age should be between 21 and 60 years. The woman or her family must have been a resident of Delhi for at least 10 years. Families owning a four-wheeler vehicle.
